AWWDA has four types of membership:

1. Contractors - For registered businesses involved in the groundwater industry, including: water well drilling contractors, pump installers, environmental drilling contractors, geothermal (geoexchange) drilling contractors
2. Suppliers and Manufacturers - For companies that provide equipment, supplies and services related to the groundwater industry
3. Technical - For consulting professionals, laboratories, academic and government affiliates supporting the groundwater industry
4. Associate - For employees of contactor members
